About Me

I was born in Huntsville, Alabama to a family of professional meteorologists who whole-heartedly valued education, creative expression and extending care to others. As I now embrace my life as an interdisciplinary artist, massage therapist and educator, I can see where my family might have had ‘some’ influence on my path.

About My Work

I have learned through my 20+ years of formal dance training, 5+ years as a dance educator, 4+ years as a commissioned artist and training as a Massage Therapist that developing our ability to express, adapt and stabilize are critical skills required for optimal health and growth as a species.

The environments we exist in and curate can have a large impact on our wellbeing. It is my goal as an artist, wellness practitioner and educator to address areas that need support.

  • Over the past few years I have started to recognize the wide range of challenges that we face in our America lifestyle. What I observe is: the rise of mental health illness and chronic conditions in both adults and children, a socially approved hyper-productive lifestyle that often leads to burnout and neglect and stigmas about art not being a viable career choice.

As someone who has experienced sudden loss of a parent, social anxiety from COVID-19, massive burnout cycles, and destabilizing career challenges as an artist and dancer, I understand (to some extent) how these experiences can affect our health and overall meaning in life.

  • It’s my goal is to use the scope of my knowledge and professional practices to

    • Provide therapeutic support for people with mental and physical health conditions through massage therapy, artistic practices, and movement classes.

    • Develop powerful, unique and excellent artwork to inspire all people, support the vocation of art-making and bring beautiful art to public spaces.
